Join Dr. Jay Daniel, Director of Engineering at L-3 Integrated Optical Systems Tinsley, to explore beryllium’s central role in the future James Webb Space Telescope. Daniel is the chief engineer at Tinsley Laboratories in Richmond, California, a precision optics manufacturer that has contributed to many of NASA’s key science missions, including the Hubble Corrective Optics, the Spitzer space telescope, and the Kepler photometer. Tinsley recently completed the mirrors for the James Webb Space telescope.
