How do artists approach the problem of sea level rise and its impacts on infrastructure? Explore the art/science dialogue facilitated by the Exploratorium's Bay Observatory, which brings together artists, scientists, and educators to help the general public understand San Francisco's environment and prepare for the effects of climate change. In this case, the project Artistic Practice for Urban Resilience (APUR) connected two artists with a scientific research program called Resilient Infrastructure as Seas Rise (RISER) with the goal of bringing the conversation about sea level rise and its impacts on regional infrastructure to a broader public.
