When lights of different colors shine on the same spot on a white surface, the light reflecting from that spot to your eyes is called an additive mixture—it's the sum of all the light that's shining. If you block some of that light, subtracting one or more colors, you can make shadows of different colors. Play with some of these colored lights to learn about human color perception.
