For Resonance, she’s accompanied her transcendent compositions for synthesizers, strings, flute, and voice with projections from her “macro-cymatic visual music instrument,” which converts audio vibrations into hypnotic waves of water and light. This program includes a performance of works from Jakobson’s acclaimed album Star Core (Thrilljockey, 2016) followed by a screening of ‘Recognition’ for Prepared Piano, Sine Waves, and Macro-Cymatic Instrument (2015) an audiovisual composition invoking our bodies’ cellular vibrations.
