Join Exploratorium Senior Scientist Isabel Hawkins for a webcast detailing the amazing stages of the Rosetta mission. The race to find Philae's landing site could only begin once Rosetta arrived at comet 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko, when it got its first close-up view of the comet. Afterward, the spacecraft moved within 30 km of the comet, affording more detailed scientific measurements of the candidate sites. In parallel, the operations and flight dynamics teams explored options for delivering the lander to all five candidate landing sites.
