V-I-Pi Donor Reception

Thursday, March 14, 2019 • 4:00–6:00 p.m.
Osher Gallery 1, Kanbar Forum

Celebrate with us on the Exploratorium’s favorite holiday—Community Pi (π) Day!

Donors are V-I-Pis on March 14! Join the Exploratorium’s Family Host Committee* and the entire Exploratorium donor community for a special reception honoring our favorite never-ending number with π-related activities for the whole family ranging from button making to introduce π to the littlest math lovers to interactive cutting π demonstrations for seasoned mathematicians. You will also be able to:

  • Enjoy scrumptious pie from Three Babes Bakeshop
  • Make custom round buttons (perhaps featuring your favorite math puns! What kind of snakes do math teachers have? Pi-thons!)
  • See π-inspired short films curated by our Cinema Arts program
  • Memorialize this year’s π Day at the SnapFiesta photo booth
  • Enter to win a prize by completing the π Day scavenger hunt!

The reception complements the wonderful breadth of π activities and experiences on March 14 at our “pay as you wish” Community Pi (π) Day from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and that evening at After Dark: Pi(e) from 6:00–10:00 p.m.

Come early and stay late and explore all the Exploratorium has to offer on our favorite holiday!
