All Hands On Science: Cranky Contraptions

Saturday, December 14, 2019 • 11:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m.

Gallery 3, Wattis Webcast Studio

Note: All Hands On Science is free with museum admission—and it's always free for Daytime members.

Join us on the second full weekend of every month for All Hands on Science, a family-oriented make-and-take activity.

Meet us in the Webcast Studio, located in Gallery 3, for a hands-on workshop for families the second Saturday and Sunday of each month. Create an artifact, then take it home with you! Each month focuses on a playful interpretation of a different science-related theme.

This December, make your very own Cranky Critter Contraption—tell a little story by creating your own animal toy that moves when you turn the crank! You'll use a small wooden block, some wire, craft foam, and other decorative materials to tell your tale.

Workshops are drop-in on a first-come, first-served basis and last from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
