On the eve of Harrell Fletcher’s expedition to Mount Diablo as part of his project The Best Things in Museums are the Windows, Cinema Arts presents an outdoor screening of experimental, documentary, and industrial films tracing the geography of the project’s journey. From Pier 15 to the center of Mount Diablo State Park, these films inspire a sense of exploration and motivate deeper thinking about the cultural and physical relationships to the landscape along the way. Films include Pier 15 (Michael Rudnick, 2013), Crossing the Bar (Andy Black), Moonwalk (Mikey Schaefer, 2012), Our Backyard (Connor Rickey, 2013), and a special pre-reel of archival footage of the walkers’ landscapes.
