The language of cinema presents a rich portal for investigating the range and nuance of the human experience. Offering insight into our internal worlds, these films investigate how we construct memories, manufacture emotions, and relate to one another. Drawing on the science and phenomena explored in the Exploratorium’s West Gallery, this program features diverse perspectives on thinking, feeling, social interaction, and the nature of being human.

Includes One Second Everyday (Cesar Kuriyama, 2012), Q&A (The Rausch Brothers, 2012), and The Magic Canvas (John Halas, 1948).
