For the Curious Online:
Exclusive Member Virtual Programs—Close Up Sea Critters

With Exploratorium staff biologists Veronica Johnson and Dana Carrison

Saturday, April 24, 2021 • 10:00–11:00 a.m. PT

An astounding diversity of marine life thrives in shallow ocean waters. Join Exploratorium marine biologists Veronica and Dana in investigating the creatures that live in coastal tide pools and the bay water right beneath the museum. We’ll take a close look at the tiny animals that populate the lab and settling plates we use for our exhibits. Bring your curiosity and questions about urchins, sand dollars, kelp, and sea stars. Members are also invited to share their own photographs from tide pool explorations. Share during the program or email them to us in advance to membership@exploratorium.edu. RSVP to receive a tide chart and best tide pooling locations accessible in the Bay Area.

RSVP required. Capacity is limited. Please sign up here.
