Program begins at 6:45 p.m.

Exploratorium at Pier 15, Fisher Bay Observatory

Note: This event is an exclusive benefit for Director's Circle, Leadership Circle, and Exploratorium Trust donors in recognition of your generous support.

Join us for the 2020 Director's Dinner featuring a multifaceted conversation with Exploratorium Trustee and Nobel Laureate Dr. Saul Perlmutter, cognitive scientist Dr. Alison Gopnik, and cofounder of the Center for Humane Technology Aza Raskin, moderated by Exploratorium Chief Science Officer and Senior Director for Educator Engagement Rob Semper.

The Exploratorium has championed inquiry and critical thinking for more than 50 years. Today, as information and disinformation proliferate, and the concept of “truth” erodes, how can we empower ourselves to make sense of what we see, hear, feel, and think we know? Beyond mitigating technology’s negative influences, how can we harness its positive effects to achieve a better future?

Following the conversation, guests are invited to stay and enjoy dinner with bay views in the Fisher Bay Observatory.

To RSVP, please contact Melissa Stamberger at or 415.528.4525 by February 19.
