Join a live chat with scientists on a research ship as they map and explore the seafloor in a joint expedition between the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, the United States Geologic Survey, and the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management. The NOAA ship Reuben Lasker  has been outfitted with a remotely operated vehicle and satellite telepresence to stream live video from the ocean floor and communicate with shore-side collaborators and the public. The mission will explore deep-sea sponge and coral gardens and survey future sites for renewable wind energy projects off the coast of California. Be part of the live experience at the Exploratorium or on Facebook to see the latest ocean technology and talk with scientists as they explore Earth’s last frontier.
