From the iconic San Francisco summer fog to chilling ocean breezes and drenching winter rains, weather forecasters look to the West for clues on upcoming weather. Brian Garcia, meteorologist from NOAA’s National Weather Service Office in Monterey will share how satellite and ocean observations of sea surface temperatures, winds, and pressure systems over the ocean are key to predicting weather.
