Know Your Rights

With ACLU of Northern California

Sunday, August 25, 2019 • 1:00–3:00 p.m.

Included with museum admission and free for Daytime members.

Everyone has basic rights under the U.S. Constitution and civil rights laws. Stop by and ask questions of some of the ACLU’s volunteers and learn more about what your rights are, how to exercise them, and what to do when your rights are violated.

For nearly a century, the ACLU of Northern California has been at the heart of many of the major—and sometimes controversial—struggles for civil liberties in our state. The ACLU ensures that constitutional rights—to free speech, to privacy, to due process—don’t just exist on paper, but also in practice. The ACLU is the first line of defense against threats to civil liberties and they work to make sure these freedoms are guaranteed to every person in this country.
