Join us for Storytime Science—a storybook read-aloud, followed by a simple activity geared toward young children. This December, the Exploratorium's own Vivian Altmann reads The Golden Glow by Benjamin Flouw.

Fox is a botanist—he loves, and collects, plants. When he hears of the mysterious and rare flower called the Golden Glow, he sets out on a journey to find it.

Then bring light and motion to your world by building your very own glowcopter!

You'll need:

cardstock strip (about 2½-inch x 8½-inch)
conductive fabric tape, 1/8-inch width (available online)
a few 3mm LED lights (available online)
watch battery (CR2032)
small binder clip
2 different-colored pens, pencils, or markers
scissors
