Join professional “writers” from Hip Hop for Change to learn about the legacy of graffiti from ancient times to present. In this hands-on workshop you’ll hear about and see the many styles of “graf-writing” and then express yourself in a bold and colorful ways by creating your own “piece” inspired by this vital culture.

Hip Hop for Change is an Oakland-based nonprofit that uses grassroots based activism to educate people about socioeconomic injustices and advocate solutions through hip-hop culture. They also raise funds for local nonprofits that enrich marginalized and historically oppressed communities.
