Centrally located along the Embarcadero between Fisherman’s Wharf and the Ferry Building.
Passenger loading and unloading is available in front of the museum in dedicated loading zones. Parking is available nearby. Route and parking directions will be provided at the time of booking.
San Francisco’s historic F Market streetcar line runs along the Embarcadero and stops in front of the Exploratorium (the Embarcadero and Green Street stop). In summer 2013, a temporary E line will also operate along the waterfront.
SF Muni bus lines 2, 6, 14, 21, 31, and Metro rail lines J, K, L, M, T, and N stop within a 10–15 minute walk along the picturesque waterfront. Muni bus lines 1, 10, 12, 41, and 38 also stop in the vicinity. BART stops and the AC Transit Terminal are within a mile.
