Ricarose Roque
Ricarose’s current project Family Creative Learning involves collaborating with community centers to design workshops for children and their families to learn and design together. These workshops aim to strengthen the social support and expertise of families who have limited access to resources and experiences around computing. She also studies creative collaboration in online learning communities for kids, in particular the Scratch online community. While in the Tinkering Studio, Ricarose worked with us toward incorporating Scratch programming into Chain Reaction contraptions on the floor, and experimented with various ways of bringing Scratch programming on the floor for the public.
