Tinkering Tinkerer: Ryan Kurada
Ryan Kurada is passionate about making learning relevant, meaningful, and interesting for all students. His focus is on STEAM and maker-centered curriculum design. Ryan taught TK thru 1st grades at University Elementary School, where he also developed their school-wide project-based learning program. He spent time in Reggio Emilia, Italy studying their world-renowned educational approach to early childhood.
He is currently collaborating with the Tinkering Studio in developing STEAM curriculum for young learners. Ryan serves as a Science Coordinator Teacher-on-Loan at the Sonoma County Office of Education. He is a curious tinkerer who enjoys searching for interesting loose parts and using them in mixed media creations.
