You can't walk on liquid water, but you CAN walk on oobleck, a mixture of cornstarch and water—or can you? Ooblek is a non-Newtonian fluid, so it gets thicker and more solid when it's compressed or agitated. To test ooblek as a walking surface, Exploratorium Teacher Institute staff built a pool of it and invited people to walk and dance on the ooze. How did they do it and how did it go? Find out here.
