On July 2, 2019, beginning at 1:00 p.m., PDT, a total solar eclipse will sweep across South America. The glorious sight of the fully eclipsed Sun will visible along a 100-mile-wide path arching across Chile and Argentina. The Exploratorium will be sending a team to NSF's Cerro Tololo Inter-American Observatory in Chile, in the path of totality, to film this amazing phenomenon live and broadcast it to hundreds of countries and millions of people around the world.
