Explore an unusual film form in this hands-on workshop. Create 16mm “cinegrams,” hand-exposed moving images, by placing objects and materials that cast shadows directly onto film, and by using light. Please bring transparent, translucent, or opaque materials with you to form latent shadowgraphic traces, which we’ll bring to life through hand processing. See an example of a cinegram film workshop here. The film we create will be presented at After Dark: Preservation on October 11.
