This September, explore the transit transformations of our rapidly approaching future during Transportation/Transformations, a week encompassing four solutions-oriented programs.
As the Bay Area expands faster than a speeding bullet train, our transportation grid ages and evolves, and new tech turns our streets into a testing ground, how can we make getting around our cities enjoyable, equitable, and emissions-free? Perched on San Francisco’s waterfront, the Exploratorium has a front-row seat on the intersection of our transportation ecosystem with our intensifying climate crisis. As world leaders prepare for the United Nations Climate Action Summit in New York City, here in San Francisco we’ll build upon last September’s Global Climate Action Summit. Join us to envision the present and future of sustainable transportation, and its implications for technology, climate, safety, policy, social justice, and more.
