Live chat with an Arctic research expedition.
Included with museum admission.
In summer 2019, come join a conversation between Exploratorium staff and scientists, filmmakers and students on an historic expedition through the fabled Northwest Passage. This is the first time the public can join live ship-to-shore broadcasts from above the Arctic Circle as scientists, students and filmmakers investigate the changing polar environment in real time. The Northwest Passage project will sail into icy waters in the tradition of polar explorers, but with the scientific instruments and communication capabilities to carry out cutting-edge research and provide live updates on the increasingly threatened ecosystems and human communities in the Canadian Arctic.
The Exploratorium is hosting a series of live chats with scientists, students and filmmakers on board the Icebreaker Oden, exploring the changing Arctic and sharing their discoveries live with the public worldwide.
